Our clients, a young couple moving into their first home -- a new two-bedroom condo with limited space -- began planning their purchases eight months in advance. Starting with furniture layouts and budget discussions, we developed a schedule based on priorities and delivery timing.
____Requirements included seating for six at the dining room table for when they entertained friends and family, and a comfortable sitting area for watching TV, talking and working on their laptops. Requesting a contemporary, urban style, the only thing that our clients brought with them was a large replica tree. (Detail 01)
____The colour scheme was developed from a much-loved painting -- an area rug that went beautifully with the painting was chosen first, followed by complementary fabrics for the sofa/chaise lounge, chair and toss cushions. (Detail 02)
____These colours extend into the dining room with the chair fabric and chandelier. The dark woods of the furniture resonate with the kitchen cabinetry and in this open space -- kitchen, dining room and living room -- all the textures and colours combine to create a harmonious feeling. It all came together on moving day: a wonderful first home for our clients to enjoy! (Detail 03)
