After living with white walls for seven years, our client wanted vibrant colours "one level down from a crayon box". A fabric consisting of multi-textured stripes -- tangerine orange, lime green, chocolate brown and cream -- became our inspiration, eventually ending up as toss cushions. From that starting point, we created a coordinated "wow" space perfect for lounging at home alone or for entertaining friends. (Detail 01)
____Track lighting, together with a combined tourchière/task lamp, transform this very dark room into a bright, welcoming space. For romantic evenings, the dimmer switch lowers the lights to a soft glow. Framed prints, adding warmth and interest on the green wall, separate the living room from the dining room. (Detail 02)
____Contemporary-styled, energy-efficient window shades on the large window and balcony door provide much-needed relief from the morning sun. The TV/bookshelf and ottoman with storage solved our client's need for places to display his photos and books and hide his remotes. (Detail 03)
